Kristen Stewart still on the Balenciaga bus

Don't believe the hype: Kristen Stewart is still the face of Balenciaga - well, for now at least…

When Alexander Wang took the helm at Balenciaga, it was roundly expected that Kristen Stewart, the brand's celebrity 'face' of fragrance Florabotanica, would be first out the door.

Rebecca Hall: Fashion Isn’t Superficial

REBECCA HALL is no stranger to a red carpet, or a designer label for that matter. The actress, who is currently promoting Iron Man 3, is a strong advocate of fashion as an "important and empowering" means of expressing yourself - and with names such as LanvinLouis Vuitton and Givenchy spanning her impressive wardrobe, she's demonstrated an ability to express herself in a most stylish manner.
"I love clothes," she told us. "I've never actively followed trends, but I definitely know what I like and what I don't like. I think fashion is a really important and empowering thing. I don't think it's superficial actually, I think it's very important. I love being able to express myself through what I wear - and for it to be a way of expressing uniqueness and individuality."
The actress admits that her love of clothes makes for an expensive retail therapy habit when she's between jobs - using her style as a means of chanelling any untapped creativity.
"Shopping is a bit of a relaxing hobby for me, which is sometimes troubling for the bank balance," she told us. "My friends have noticed that if I suddenly go through a couple of months' unemployment, there seems to be a correlation that I don't ever tend to wear the same outfit twice. There will be such strange combinations of clothes because I'm probably a bit creatively stifled, so it's coming out in my wardrobe."
As for favourite brands, the British-born star counts the home-grown Mulberry as one of her preferred labels. She was sat front row during Emma Hill's autumn/winter 2011-12 show for the brand.
"I like Mulberry a lot - it's easy to wear and they show humour in their clothes. It's a very English thing to have a humorous twist even if it's very classical," she said. "There's always something a bit witty about it somewhere. Also, the shows are fun. They always do a big production which is always interesting to watch."
But don't expect a celebrity clothing line from Hall any time soon - while she loves to "indulge", there will be no equivalent of Rihanna's River Island collection or Kate Moss' partnership with Topshop.
"For me, it's a spectator thing," she said. "It's not my profession, but it's something that I love to be a part of. I love that I have access to wearing beautiful clothes that I would have otherwise just admired in magazines."

David Beckham Discusses Romeo’s Burberry Billboards

ROMEO BECKHAM might be enjoying life as Burberry's latest campaign star but, according to David Beckham, he's just like any other young boy his age. The 10-year-old was cast alongside Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell in the British brand's spring/summer 2013 adverts - a move which made headlines worldwide and cast him firmly in the international spotlight.
"Romeo might be on the billboards and be the Burberry model, but he's also one of those little boys who loves going home and playing on PlayStation or going over to the park and having a kick around," he said. "[My children] are very grounded, they do normal things - as normal as they can, obviously, given our situation."
The 37-year-old has four children - Brooklyn, 14; Romeo, 10; Cruz, 7; and 1-year-old daughter Harper - with wife Victoria Beckham.
"I always wanted kids I could take to work and for them to experience the things I experience. So, having three boys as a footballer was a dream," he told men's magazine Man About Town. "And now to have a little girl who just lightens up my day every time I see or speak to her - my children are my life."

Donatella Versace: Gianni Would Have Loved Lady Gaga

DONATELLA VERSACE believes that if her brother Gianni was still alive, he'd have loved Lady Gaga. The designer is close friends with the singer, and has worked with her creatively on several occasions.
"She was determined, she already knew what she wanted: to go straight to the heart of the maison and show those clothes to a new generation, to all her fashion-lover fans," she recalled of her first meeting with the star. "I'm sure that, if Gianni were still alive, he would have been a huge fan of hers."
The pair most notably collaborated on Gaga's The Edge of Glorymusic video - for which Donatella opened up the fashion house's archives for the first time since her brother's death in 1997, and allowing the 27-year-old to wear vintage Gianni Versace designs. Gaga also paid a much-publicised visit to the Versace Milan headquarters in October last year.
"I'm very proud to say that Lady Gaga is a friend of mine," she told Italian magazine, Amica. "I'm very happy that she is part of the Versace family."
Donatella Versace is speaking at the Vogue Festival in association with Vertu this weekend.
